Tune In Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads! The purpose is to highlight an old or new song/band that you cannot get enough of in hopes of raising interest in other bloggers. I will try to vary my posts so that you can get a fresh look at what is spinning my wheels at a given time.

This week’s song that I’m featuring is “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips. My parents always listened to oldies (or what I consider oldies) when I was growing up. Thankfully, I know some awesome classics, like this one. If you’ve recently seen and loved Bridesmaids, like I have, you will probably enjoy this song. Katelyn and I seriously blare this is our cars whenever we’re together. No one else really gets it, out of our friends. But hopefully, you will start grooving to the music after a few seconds.
Another awesome song that I never get sick of is “Big Poppa” by Notorious B.I.G. However, when looking for this song on YouTube, I found this genius piece of work. If you love old gangster rap and Harry Potter (I know there’s more of us out there somewhere) you will seriously love this remixed version of “Harry Poppa.” Not kidding, this is hilarious and catchy.
This is the coolest discovery I have made in a while.

Oh. My. God. Kati, only on YOUR blog will you find a completely awesome Wilson Phillips song and then an extremely strange, I-don’t-even-have-words-to-explain-it type song. Hmm…the last one is strange to say the least. But I am SO EXCITED you are joining in Tune-In Tuesday. It is like my favorite day of the week 🙂
Dude I had to bring Biggie into the picture. “Throw yo hands in the a-yer if yous a true player!” Come on man! That one’s so good!
And, that last Harry Poppa is probably the best thing I’ve ever heard.
And I agree, it is my new favorite day of the week! 🙂
Holy moly! Freakin’ love Wilson Phillips! I listened to their TAPE growing up over and over (I’m not that old…promise). Love love love it. And Big Poppa, win! I liked the 3rd one too, BIG & Harry Potter remix. Played flute in school so it’s always awesome to hear songs like that. All over great post!
I totally agree Mandie! I sing all of “Hold On” so loud people around me feel embarrassed for me. Good thing I don’t get that embarrassed anymore because it’s totally worth it!

I feel REALLY old right now because you said YOUR PARENTS listen to this CLASSIC of Wilson Phillips! HA! Umm this is what I grew up with 🙂 (ok so maybe I am old!)
Sorry! I never meant to offend anyone by implying they were old. Haha. This song came out in 1990, and I was born in 1992. To me, this is a classic. 🙂

Good songs. I have recently seen a youtube of Firework that was redone using harry potter at one of the colleges drama clubs.
