My name is Kati Shumaker and I reign from Clio, Michigan. If you hold up your left hand, fingers touching, Clio is about a ½ inch southwest of the crease from your index finger and thumb. That’s where all this glorious writing is taking place.
I am a nineteen year-old currently working as a secretary, or as I call myself, Office Manager at GCR Tire Centers in the safest city in the world, Flint, MI. In hopes of not offending my boss or my other co-workers, I will call them all by different names. This is to protect and not slander them in any way, shape or form. I hope you understand.
I attend Saginaw Valley State University during the fall, winter, and spring semesters. My major is English Education with a minor in Communication and Theater. My ultimate goal is to become a high school English/Speech teacher.
I love reading Young Adult literature, plays, and some classic literature. I am a huge fan of Diana Peterfreund. The Secret Society Girl Books are my second favorite series of all time, right behind the Harry Potter series. That’s a huge compliment to the SSG books if you understood just how much I truly love Harry Potter.
I also greatly enjoy grooving to music, at all times. I am one of those people that can answer/say anything and relate it back to a song. In my world, it’s a gift and a talent. I love country, alternative, rap, and 80s music.
In my opinion, and what I have observed from others, I tell fairly good and funny stories. Therefore, on this blog I will relate something that has happened in my day into a Life Lesson that I will share with all of you. Sometimes these Life Lessons will be hilarious stories, touching memories, or short recaps of something that happened to me that I just can’t get my mind off. I imagine these will be the most entertaining features on my blog. Then again, I’m sure I have at least two people out there that find my blog entertaining no matter what I say. That is fine with me.
Thank you for taking the time to read how I live my life. Good luck out there. 🙂
